Prolific semen production from the globally revered Holstein bull Toystory has enabled Bullsemen.com to announce a 35% reduction in price. This, says the company, will provide significantly more UK dairy farmers with affordable access to one of the most complete sires of recent times.
Jenny Lou Marshall Toystory-ET *TV, now with second crop milking daughters enhancing an already strong proof, is available from Bullsemen.com for £19.50/straw for orders of 40 straws plus, down from £29. Continuing prolific semen production is the main reason for a revised pricing strategy for a bull that has now produced and sold over 1.3 million units worldwide.
Toystory’s reputation as a bull of the highest calibre has continued to build since his outstanding debut in November 2005. In the latest UK proof run, he showed further improvements to both profitability and conformation with figures of £91 PLI, +2.02 Type Merit, + 476 kg milk, an udder composite of + 1.91 and an impressive “no faults” linear.
Toystory has worldwide demand with over 300,000 daughters now bred globally. A Toystory daughter was sold in Pennsylvania for $64,000 and the record to date in the UK came at the Smiddiehill Sale, where a Toystory daughter made £27,000gns.
His dam is Jenny-Lou Patron Toyane VG-89 who boasts and impressive production of 365 days, topping records with 20,787 kg of milk, 793 kg fat and 553 kg protein. His maternal grand dam is Jenny-Lou Luke Takia VG-86 with top production records of 365 days, 14,238 kg of milk, 491 kg fat and 451 kg protein. Toyane exemplifies longevity, continuing to compete in the same free stall environment as the rest of the herd as an eight year old. Toyane is in a herd including Toystory’s full sister, Jenny-Lou Marshall 618, VG-88. Her production record is 16,741 kg of milk, 621 kg fat and 472 kg protein.
